Desert Camp celebrated it's 1st Birthday on 1st July 2007 with a full house of 'guests'. The entire camp was fully booked on the night with guests from overseas, South Africa and Namibia. All were invited over to the central boma for drinks and snacks in celebration.

Outstanding occupancy was achieved during the first year, despite running at half occupancy for the first month or two. The establishment has proved to be the right concept - and one highly in demand; one that caters for all the needs of guests at highly affordable rates. This has also ensured that a great number of Namibian and SADC residents have been able to visit and make use of the outstanding facilities of Desert Camp.
